Job summary

Carr, Riggs & Ingram is seeking a Supervising Senior Associate, Audit to perform diversified accounting and auditing tasks under supervision while planning engagements and developing strong GAAP knowledge. The role emphasizes client communication, accuracy, and adherence to auditing standards.

The ideal candidate has CPA eligibility, 5+ years in public accounting, and proficiency with accounting software, with a focus on governance and non-profit experience.

Qualifications

• CPA eligibility to sit for CPA exam; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in public accounting with progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks, Plus in-charged engagements.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Experience in Government and Not-For-Profit industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs diversified accounting and auditing assignments under supervision.
• Participates in planning and scheduling client engagements.
• Prepares and indexes working papers and verifies GAAP-based financial statements.
• Develops command of GAAP, other bases of accounting, and specialized accounting principles.
• Understands generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures.
• Communicates with clients to obtain necessary information with minimal disruption.
