Job summary

AgFirst Farm Credit Bank is seeking a Manager of Audit in Columbia, SC (Hybrid). You will direct risk-based audit planning and execution to evaluate operational, financial, and IT processes, ensuring conformance with global standards.

You will manage a team, review workpapers, and communicate results to senior leadership and the Audit Committee, driving continuous improvement and stronger internal controls across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting/finance or related field.
• 10+ years of audit, risk, compliance, or related experience, preferably in financial services.
• 4+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, control frameworks, risk management, governance, cybersecurity, and fraud risk principles.
• CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute risk-based operational, financial, and IT audit engagements from planning through reporting.
• Review audit workpapers and ensure conclusions are well-supported and aligned with standards.
• Communicate audit results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership, including Audit Committee.
• Monitor progress, resources, and timelines to ensure high-quality delivery of engagements.
• Develop and maintain the annual risk-based audit plan by assessing organizational risks and priorities.
• Partner with management to identify emerging risks and strengthen internal controls.
• Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit effectiveness and compliance.
• Hire, coach, develop, and manage a team of audit professionals.
