Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking Audit & Risk Management Auditors (2-3 resources) to perform financial, operational, and compliance audits across MPC and MPLX activities. The role requires a strong SOX testing background and experience with internal auditing standards.

Location options include San Antonio, TX or Findlay, OH with onsite and remote work balance. Start ASAP, end January 2027, with ample exposure to data analytics and audit planning.

Qualifications

• Financial SOX testing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Staff Auditor functions for financial, operational, compliance, and special audits across MPC and MPLX business activities in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and enterprise audit methodology.
• Assist with audit planning activities by conducting business unit interviews and preparing process walkthroughs.
• Support the identification, assessment, and documentation of risks and controls within the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM).
• Assist in developing and documenting audit programs and test plans that address identified risks. Perform testing procedures and gather sufficient audit evidence.
• Document audit procedures and testing results following established documentation standards and protocols.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics for enhanced audit scoping and testing procedures.
• Communicate audit observations with clients before exit meetings and present findings during audit closing conferences.
