Job summary

First Financial Bankshares seeks an experienced VP Audit Project Manager I to oversee audits across banking functions from Fort Worth, TX. You will plan, execute, and enhance the internal audit program, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team to assess risks and controls with data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities include coordinating with auditors and regulators, producing timely audit reports, and guiding management on risk remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline or equivalent work experience in financial institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a related role at regulated financial institution and/or Big Four accounting firm is required.
• Knowledge of financial institution regulatory environment and requirements.
• Certifications (CPA, CIA, or similar) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Company’s internal audit program is effective and meets regulatory and industry standards.
• Conduct internal audits of the bank's Finance, Credit, Banking Products and Operation, and Human Resources, and Trust & Asset Management.
• Assist in planning and execution of the Internal Audit Program per internal controls and standards.
• Test internal controls to identify violations of laws or deviations from policies.
• Prepare audit reports with clear opinions and issues; analyze findings and propose solutions.
