HBK CPAs & Consultants is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead engagements in public accounting. You will plan, staff, and supervise audits, review work papers, and ensure timely delivery to clients.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of public accounting experience, CPA designation, strong research and writing skills, and excellent communication. Experience with employee benefit plans or Single Audits is a plus, and you will mentor staff.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience planning and supervising audit engagements.
• CPA designation required.
• Strong research and writing skills; excellent verbal communication.
• Ability to interact with staff and clients.
• Experience with employee benefit plans and/or Single Audits is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Take charge of all assigned engagements including staffing, planning, and scheduling with the Principal.
• Evaluate internal controls and prepare or review work programs and time budgets.
• Support training of team members and provide guidance on papers.
• Review engagement findings with the Principal and discuss with client.
• Prepare or review financial statements, notes, schedules, and tax returns.
• Provide engagement evaluations and mentor staff.
• Represent the firm at client events and contribute to performance reviews.
• Monitor budget and identify additional work with client approval.
