Job summary

JTaylor’s Assurance division seeks an experienced audit professional to manage client engagements, develop audit plans, and supervise staff in a dynamic firm environment in Fort Worth, Texas.

The role requires a CPA, 5+ years of public accounting audit experience, and strong leadership, communication, and initiative. You will oversee engagements end-to-end, coordinate staffing and deadlines, and build lasting client relationships while adhering to firm standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting external audit or related experience.
• Bachelor of Business Administration with emphasis in accounting or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant.
• Knowledgeable with FASB, AICPA, GAAP, GAAS, and the Yellow Book Standards.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• This job operates in an office setting with standard office equipment.
• Additional hours as needed to meet client expectations and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes financial statement and audit related issues or assurance topics as requested by senior managers/partners.
• Oversees and coordinates the overall engagement, including developing a risk-based audit plan, and managing timeline and client expectations.
• Ensures working papers and client deliverables are prepared in accordance with professional standards and firm policies; performs final technical review.
• Develops and strengthens long-term client relationships to provide value-added services.
• Assists with scheduling, staffing, billing, divisional meetings, CPE, and internal inspections.
• Assists with business development, relationship building, talent development, and recruiting opportunities.
• Works to analyze complex issues or understand new concepts within the assurance division.
• Performs engagements start to finish to meet client needs (audit, review, compilation).
• Maintains high attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
• Becomes oriented with firm practices, policies, and culture.
