Job summary

The Encompass Group is partnering with a well established public accounting and advisory firm to offer a CPA with strong audit background an opportunity to lead engagements and mentor staff in Des Moines, Iowa. You will build client relationships and gain exposure to diverse industries.

Qualifications

Active CPA license required.
5+ years of recent public accounting audit experience.
Experience leading client engagements and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion.
Manage audits for nonprofits, employee benefit plans, and commercial clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, partners, and internal audit teams.
Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while reviewing workpapers and financial reports.
Coordinate multiple client engagements, timelines, staffing, and workflow.
Ensure financial statements and related reports comply with standards.
Build and maintain client relationships through proactive communication and advisory support.
Support business development and firm growth.
