Job summary

UHY in Maryland is seeking an Audit Senior Accountant to lead and perform attestation engagements, plan audits, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality financial reporting for clients.

You will review workpapers, coordinate with partners, and apply accounting standards while developing client relationships and driving performance.

This role requires a bachelor's in accounting or finance, 3–6 years of audit experience in a CPA firm, and active pursuit of CPA licensure, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 3–6 years of relevant audit experience within a CPA firm
• Actively working towards CPA licensure
• Experience in a professional service environment preferred
• Willingness to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Review workpapers and audit evidence for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Communicate with clients to address questions and provide status updates.
• Supervise and mentor audit staff.
• Stay current with accounting standards and perform technical research.
• Prepare and finalize audit reports and recommendations.
