Job summary

Jobtailor in Braintree, MA is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead engagement teams through comprehensive audits, reviews, and compilations. You will identify risk areas, develop audit approaches, and present conclusions to Partners while mentoring staff to ensure high-quality work.

You will also build strong client relationships, coordinate with Partners on issues, and participate in business development and pricing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility.
• Minimum of 6 years with a public accounting firm, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in managing teams across various engagements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with client responsiveness.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
• Ability to excel independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Caseware/Caseview is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement teams in audits, reviews, and compilations, including fieldwork and documentation review.
• Identify audit risk areas, formulate approaches, and present conclusions to Partners.
• Train and mentor team members to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
• Foster client relationships through proactive communication with client personnel.
• Coordinate with Partners on work status and client issues.
• Evaluate staff performance and deliver constructive feedback.
• Develop budgets and pricing strategies for audit engagements.
• Participate in business development activities and proposal preparation.
• Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes in auditing practices.
• Engage in professional development to enhance technical skills.
