Job summary

The position requires CPA certification, at least 8 years in public accounting, and strong communication. Travel may be required, with opportunities to advance within CBIZ CPAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8 years experience in public accounting or related field.
• 5 years supervisory.
• Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple assignments.
• Strong verbal and written communication across all levels.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Proficient with applicable technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert within the business unit and share knowledge.
• Recommend improvements to internal department procedures.
• Identify client opportunities and act as trusted advisor.
• Manage engagement deliverables and perform quality reviews.
• Develop new client opportunities in partnership with upper management.
• Monitor billing and realization; manage engagement budgets.
• Understand client Qualified Plan needs and advise accordingly.
• Supervise, train and mentor staff; conduct performance feedback.
• Foster a collaborative, positive team culture.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
