Job summary

LBMC is seeking an Audit Senior Accountant to join a progressive office in one of our Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, or Louisville locations. You will work on financial statement audits and internal audits with support from seasoned professionals, while mentoring Staff and Intern Accountants.

The role offers a clear path to Manager and Senior Manager and emphasizes high-quality workmanship, client service, and professional growth within LBMC. Travel is <15% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA exam readiness (150 credit hours).
• 2+ years of staff auditor experience at a CPA or professional services firm.
• Willingness to travel to client sites (<15% travel/year).

Responsibilities

• Act in a consulting capacity to determine services needed for audit projects.
• Oversee planning of client engagements and ensure timely deliverables.
• Prepare complete work papers aligned with standards and audits.
• Draft process narratives and maps; perform risk-based audits.
• Mentor Staff Accounting and Audit Intern teams and foster growth.
• Engage in leadership activities with committees and community groups.
• Build long-term client relationships and identify expansion opportunities.
