Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day audit engagements from planning through fieldwork and final completion.
• Perform substantive testing, controls testing and analytical review procedures.
• Prepare and review audit documentation for accuracy and completeness; ensure standards are met.
• Manage engagement deadlines, budgets, and workflows across multiple assignments.
• Apply knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS throughout engagements.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior audit staff; provide technical guidance.
• Build relationships with clients and act as a primary contact throughout assignments.
• Identify issues during fieldwork and coordinate with managers to resolve them.
• Support review and compilation engagements as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in auditing standards and regulations.

As a Senior Audit Associate, you'll play a key role in delivering audit and attest engagements for a varied client portfolio. You'll be trusted with responsibility from planning through to completion, working closely with clients while supporting and developing junior members of the team. What You'll Be Doing

• Lead day-to-day audit engagements from initial planning through fieldwork and final completion
• Perform substantive testing, controls testing and analytical review procedures
• Prepare and review audit documentation, ensuring work is accurate and completed to the required standard
• Manage engagement deadlines, budgets and workflow across multiple assignments
• Apply a strong working knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS throughout engagements
• Supervise, coach and support junior audit staff, providing feedback and technical guidance
• Build professional relationships with clients and act as a reliable point of contact throughout assignments
• Identify potential issues during fieldwork and work with managers to resolve them efficiently
• Support review and compilation engagements where required
• Keep up to date with changes in auditing standards, regulations and technical guidance

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have at least 2 years of audit experience within a public accounting firm and be comfortable taking ownership of key areas of an engagement. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is expected, alongside CPA qualification, CPA eligibility or progress towards completing the required 150 credit hours. You should also bring:

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and auditing standards
• Previous experience across audit planning, fieldwork and completion
• Good client-facing and written communication skills
• The confidence to supervise and mentor junior team members
• Strong organisation and project management skills
• The ability to manage competing deadlines without compromising quality
• A detail-focused and analytical approach to audit work
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and relevant audit software
• Experience with Caseware or similar platforms would be advantageous, although not essential
