Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 7+ years of public accounting experience with engagement leadership.
• Active CPA license required.
• Strong supervision, mentoring and staff development background.
• Excellent client-facing communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple engagements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of audit, compilation, and review engagements.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients and understand their businesses.
• Plan, schedule, and staff engagements while managing workflow and budgets.
• Supervise, review, and provide feedback on workpapers, reports, and financial statements.
• Evaluate internal controls and ensure compliance with standards.
• Anticipate engagement risks and address issues proactively.
• Keep partners informed of engagement status and challenges.
• Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements and tax returns.
• Mentor and develop staff through training and evaluations.
• Assist with billing and client fee discussions as needed.
• Participate in practice development and client expansion efforts.
• Stay informed on regulatory developments impacting clients.
