Maplewood, MO | $80,000–$100,000 salary

Schedule: Hybrid (60% Onsite / 40% Remote after 60 days) | Monday–Friday

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established, full-service public accounting firm headquartered in Maplewood, MO. For over five decades, the firm has proudly served the region with comprehensive tax, audit, and advisory services built on a foundation of integrity, collaboration, and excellence.

They’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing Audit team. This is a client‑facing role that offers a mix of leadership responsibility, professional growth, and a people‑first culture where collaboration and mentorship are central. You’ll work with a dynamic and supportive audit group—an outgoing team known for teamwork and a commitment to excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and perform compilation, review, and audit engagements for a diverse client base.
  • Examine and verify financial records for compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and provide recommendations for process and control improvements.
  • Serve as an “in‑charge” auditor on engagements, reviewing staff work and guiding team members.
  • Research and resolve audit and accounting issues of intermediate complexity.
  • Assist in developing and coaching junior staff to enhance technical and professional skills.
  • Contribute to strong client relationships through responsive communication and excellent service delivery.
  • Manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
What They’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA candidate or near completion preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience on engagements preferred.
  • Experience with tax preparation/review a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of audit principles, GAAP, and attest services.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and client service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with audit software tools preferred.
