Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks an Audiologist to diagnose, treat, and manage hearing and balance disorders across all ages, using tests like ABR, VNG, and vestibular assessments, and to provide hearing aid services.

You will collaborate with otolaryngologists, mentor audiology students, and ensure careful documentation and scheduling. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s/Doctorate in Audiology, MA license, CCC within six months, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
• Massachusetts audiologist license.
• Attainment of the CCC within six months of date of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of Audiology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with the healthcare team.
• Strong computer skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, diagnose, manage, and interpret test results for hearing/balance disorders across all ages.
• Perform audiologic tests including pure tone, speech, immittance, and OAEs.
• Evaluate vestibular function with VNG procedures.
• Conduct ABR and VEMP testing as needed.
• Interpret results and counsel patients on treatment options.
• Provide hearing aid services and follow-up care.
• Mentor Audiology students and collaborate with otolaryngologists.
