Dolby is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join the Consumer Entertainment team in San Francisco. You will develop hardware platforms and enable Dolby technologies across a range of consumer devices, partnering with acoustics, mechanics, and software teams to deliver integrated solutions.

You will design analog/digital circuits for audio, prototype new concepts, and support DSP integration on hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; Master preferred.
• 10+ years of proven industry experience designing mixed-signal consumer electronics.
• Experience with audio buses: I2S/TDM, PDM, SPDIF, Dante and control buses I2C/SPI/UART.
• Power system design: switch-mode and linear.
• PCB design with Xpedition; PLM experience with Agile.
• Hands-on with EE lab tools: oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters.
• Soldering and board modification; strong documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop hardware platforms to enable Dolby technologies.
• Design analog and digital electronics for audio applications.
• Collaborate with acoustic, mechanical, and software teams on holistic solutions.
• Evaluate components and prototype designs for customer demos.
• Support customers with architecture reviews and component selection.
• Lead hardware integration with DSP algorithms on hardware.
• Travel to customer sites for deployment and evaluation.
