Senior Attorney - First Party Property Damage

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced first party property damage attorney to join a law firm as a senior attorney. You will be responsible for business development with public adjusters and roofers, including attending conferences, lunches, and occasional after-hours events. You will also manage your own docket of commercial and residential property damage claims. A marketing budget of $100,000 is provided in addition to your compensation for business development. Other matters such as personal injury claims may also be part of your docket but will constitute a small part.

We seek candidates licensed in Florida, Missouri, California, Texas, Oklahoma, and other states. The position is mostly remote, with frequent in-person meetings such as conferences and meetings with property owners. You will be supported by a team of experienced first party attorneys, paralegals, legal admins, and a back-office team.

Compensation includes a total package of $300,000, comprising a $180,000 base salary and a $120,000 yearly bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development: Meeting public adjusters and roofers, attending conferences, giving presentations, and developing referral relationships.
2. Case Management: Handling a caseload of first-party insurance claims from start to finish.
3. Client Consultation: Advising clients on their rights and options, maintaining communication and case updates.
4. Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiating with insurance companies, drafting demand letters, and securing fair settlements.
5. Litigation: Filing lawsuits, representing clients in court, conducting discovery and depositions.
6. Collaboration: Working with other attorneys, professionals, and support staff to strengthen cases and ensure smooth case management.
