The successful candidate will lead case strategy, prepare briefs, manage documents, and coordinate depositions, while maintaining rigorous case files and client communications throughout hearings and trials.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of construction defect or general liability experience.

Responsibilities

A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney with over 12 years of experience in construction defect and/or general liability matters for their Sacramento, CA office. This full-time, hybrid remote position requires a professional with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Duties

• Consult with clients on legal best practices and provide legal support.
• Prepare case file documents and compile comprehensive trial briefs.
• Draft and administer legal documents, including contracts, memos, and motions.
• Review discovery documents and define the best course of action.
• Adhere to a consistent schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences.
• Represent the firm in legal proceedings such as trials and hearings.
• Facilitate the depositions of experts and case witnesses.
• Research and interpret law and rulings to anticipate legal risks.
• Maintain case files from opening to close and communicate case status to clients.

Requirements

• 12+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Juris Doctor (JD) Degree and current license to practice law in California.
