Job summary

The Offices, Boards and Divisions seeks an experienced attorney to contribute to the VCF program, overseen by a Special Master and supported by the Civil Division Torts Branch, to address compensation for 9/11-related harms.

Applicants must hold a J.D., be licensed to practice in any State or DC, and be an active bar member in good standing with at least four years of post-JD experience; preferred in compensation, trauma-informed practices, and trial work.

Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent; licensed and authorized to practice law.
• Active member of the bar in good standing in any U.S. state or DC.
• Minimum of 4 years post-JD legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on compensation programs and administration.
• Lead organizational and supervisory management of attorneys.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, systems, and controls.
• Collaborate with legal and non-legal staff to advance program goals.
