Job description

About the position:

• This is a remote position. Our team of 5 experienced attorneys and 4 support staff communicate throughout the day via Slack, collaborating on complex legal issues and staying up-to-date on how we can support each other's success.

• Our priority is the level of service we provide to our clients, helping them resolve complex and high-stakes legal issues.

• Your employer is a mother of two toddlers and deeply values your time. We complete our work and then return to our personal lives. Each week, we have an hour-long case meeting to collaborate on each case and assign projects to support staff.

• Our highly competent support staff handle administrative tasks, allowing attorneys to focus on legal work.

• The salary range for a full-time position is $125,000 - $250,000+.

• Benefits include monthly bonus compensation, health and dental insurance, a matching 401(k), unlimited PTO, and a tech budget.

• While this is a full-time position, we are open to candidates starting as part-time attorneys, with flexibility to transition to full-time based on mutual agreement.

Who you are:

• You have 10+ years of experience in Family Law, both in and out of court.

• You seek a supportive and valued work environment where you can establish long-term roots.

• You have negotiated and litigated a broad spectrum of disputes in complex divorces and contested custody cases.

• You are competitive and tenacious.

• You can effectively communicate your value during consultations by understanding clients’ needs and offering tangible solutions.

• You are willing to appear in court in counties including San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Marin, Alameda, and Contra Costa.

• You are passionate about providing proactive, strategic legal advice and leveraging your expertise to help clients achieve favorable outcomes, whether through settlement or litigation.

• You prioritize documenting legal advice thoroughly to help clients understand their options and implications.

• You are already a Certified Family Law Specialist or plan to become one soon.
