Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Senior ATE Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end design, documentation, and production release of automated test equipment. You will own mechanical architectures of test consoles, interface modules, and fixtures, guiding prototypes to manufacturing.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years for Level III or 10+ years for Level IV in ATE, plus DoW Secret clearance eligibility and strong drafting/thermal analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in automated test equipment development and production release (Level III: 5+ years; Level IV: 10+ years)
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Proficient in test equipment console layout, ITA design, 2D/3D drafting, tolerancing
• Ability to obtain DoW Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)

Responsibilities

• Design & Documentation: Architect rack assemblies, ITAs, cable assemblies, interface modules, diagrams, and BOMs
• Fixture Engineering: Design mounting, interconnect, and human interface fixtures with dimensioning and configuration management
• Analysis & Modeling: Create 3D/2D models and perform structural/thermal FEA validation
• Configuration & Quality Control: Manage design releases through PDM systems
• Project Lifecycle Support: Oversee hardware parts ordering, develop technical packages, lead cross-functional design reviews
