Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking an ATE Software Engineer III/IV to develop automated test equipment software for DoD/aerospace programs. You will design modular C# test code, integrate with hardware, and collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure cohesive validation, calibration, and reporting.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, ATE principles, and experience with test automation, CM tools, and peer reviews. A U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 5 years’ experience developing instrument driven test software.
• Solid programming knowledge in C#.
• Strong understanding of ATE design principles including Serial, Ethernet, PXI, USB, IEEE-488, etc.
• Experience in problem isolation with troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Software Configuration Management tools and defect tracking tools; peer review processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities across all levels of the org.
• Experience as an IPT Lead or CAM; EVMS exposure is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work in a team environment.
• U.S. Secret Security Clearance desired; ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Derive, trace, and flow Test Requirements to Test Code and Test Report.
• Design and implement automation software to satisfy Test Requirements.
• Interface with product teams to determine test strategy and coverage.
• Develop modular, reusable test automation software in C# and GUI tools.
• Produce technical presentation materials for Design Reviews.
• Collaborate with ATE Hardware developers to ensure cohesion during integration and debugging.
• Produce Test Procedures and Process Documents for ATE deployment.
• Integrate ATE with Units Under Test.
• Release software into Configuration Management.
• Support Contract Manufacturers with questions and integration.
• Interface with Production teams to satisfy manufacturing requirements.
