Sorren is seeking an experienced Assurance Engagement Leader to plan, execute, and deliver the firm’s most complex and high-risk engagements, including audits and reviews, across diverse industries in Colorado. You will guide GAAP/GAAS interpretation, manage budgets, and act as a strategic advisor to clients.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA license with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, demonstrate strong leadership of multi-level teams, and leverage data analytics to drive efficiency and insight.

Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise in GAAP, GAAS and related financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale, high-risk assurance engagements from planning to delivery.
• Excellent communication and executive presence with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex assurance engagements across industries.
• Act as a technical expert on accounting standards, guiding teams and clients on issues like revenue recognition and consolidations.
• Supervise and coach managers and associates, driving engagement strategy, budgets, and quality service.
• Review client deliverables and provide strategic advisory for financial decisions.
• Cultivate trusted advisor relationships and participate in business development.
