Job summary

MGO (Macias Gini & O'Connell LLP) in Dallas Fort Worth Metro (Remote) seeks an Assurance Senior Associate to lead government audits across large states, counties, cities, and agencies from planning through completion.

You will manage budgets, timelines, staffing, and client communications, supervise staff, and develop staff while building strong relationships with government leaders and stakeholders. A CPA path is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting audit experience; GASB/State and Local Government audit experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with required coursework.
• CPA license preferred; CPA eligible or actively pursuing certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Manage budgets, timelines, staffing, and client communications.
• Supervise, coach, and develop associates and experienced staff.
• Build trusted relationships with government leaders and key stakeholders.
• Review workpapers, identify risk areas, and ensure audit quality.
• Develop expertise in government auditing standards (GASB), federal compliance, and complex public-sector reporting.
• Contribute to practice growth through client service excellence and business development initiatives.
