Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is expanding its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – CFO Services team in the United States.

The PEPI CFO Services Associate will leverage deep financial modeling and data analytics skills to develop findings and make strategic recommendations, overseeing time-sensitive projects and engagements across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy or a related field (e.g., treasury, sourcing, supply chain, corporate finance).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four‑year institution.
• Strong expertise with data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau.
• Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time at short or immediate notice.

Responsibilities

• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations.
• Structure work plans and manage time-sensitive projects through completion.
• Demonstrate strong financial modeling and financial statement analysis; 13-week cash-flow modeling is preferred; experience with Tableau and think-cell is a plus.

Position: PEPI CFO Services Associate

Professional Experience

• Solid understanding of finance and accounting, with a preference for CPAs.
• Experience structuring work plans and managing time‑sensitive projects through completion.
• Developing findings and making strategic recommendations.
• Strong financial modeling and financial statement analysis; 13‑week cash‑flow modeling preferred; experience with Tableau and think‑cell software is a plus.
• Treasury / cash management experience is a strong plus.
• Systems implementation experience is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $120,000–$160,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills and geography. A&M also offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Salary details are available upon request.
