Jordan Park is seeking a Senior Associate/VP Lead Software Developer in San Francisco to join the Investment Strategy team. You will own and evolve client portfolio management systems, balancing front-end and back-end priorities while mentoring colleagues and interfacing with external providers.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, system design, and ownership of scalable solutions for investment processes and analytics. Collaboration with business stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, computer systems, engineering).
• 5–8 years of software engineering experience for senior associate level; 5–10 years with 2–3 years leading projects for VP level.
• Strong Python programming experience, along with SQL and ETL processes.
• Experience supporting critical production systems.
• Experience with AWS, Airflow, git, bash, and Jira (strong plus).
• Willingness to contribute throughout the stack.
• Strong project management and verbal and written communication skills.
• Discretionary in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Senior Associate/Vice President - Lead Software Developer

About the role

This software development role sits within the Investment Strategy team, responsible for top‑down portfolio construction and asset allocation, macroeconomic and capital markets research, and portfolio implementation and rebalancing using our proprietary client portfolio management systems and tools. These tools are used to rebalance portfolios, generate portfolio analytics, and monitor portfolios.

The Senior (VP) will use their depth of experience in software engineering and design to enhance existing systems, add new functionality, and solve challenging future problems. The role includes maintaining and upgrading application code and web UI, balancing responsiveness and reliability.

Ownership of the systems is expected, including hands‑on technical work, planning for large‑scale expansion and integration to create the next‑generation system. The role also involves interfacing with third parties, collaborating with internal business groups, and mentoring and coaching junior team members.

You are excited to work on a small fast‑moving team that continuously builds new products and features while supporting daily investment processes critical to the firm’s investment platform and operations. Compensation

Base salary ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience, job‑related skills, education, and other organizational factors. Compensation also includes discretionary year‑end bonus and perks.
