Job summary

CohnReznick in New York is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Technical Accounting team within the CFO Advisory practice. This remote/hybrid role supports CFOs across startups to middle-market clients, focusing on accounting accuracy, governance, and compliance.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of experience; CPA/CMA is preferred. SAP experience and GAAP knowledge are valued, with opportunities for growth and a strong Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of accounting/finance experience
• SAP experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and financial statement prep/analysis
• Ability to drive and lead core accounting processes (cash management, AR/AP, close, payroll)
• Strong communication skills at all levels
• Flexible hours to support business needs

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting operations: AP/AR, posting, reconciliation
• Manage month-end and year-end closes
• Support internal and external audits for compliance
• Produce accurate accounting reports and improve processes
• Review and improve accounting systems and controls
• Summarize financial information and status
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Document business processes and policies to strengthen controls
