Job description

VTG is seeking a highly qualified software engineer with hands on experience with design and integration using C++ and Qt to develop a Human Machine Interface and Control Functionality for submersibles and surface craft. Must be experienced with SW development in an Agile environment. Firmware experience is a plus. This position is located in Manassas, VA.

What will you do?

• In-depth knowledge and experience of Linux based design of Human Machine Interface and control systems.
• Work on a small diverse team developing and delivering command and control systems to submersibles and surface craft.
• Work as part of a team responsible for the design, development, test, and integration of software.
• Motivated self-starter who thrives with limited supervision.
• Report to the Decision Support System program leads developing software solutions for relevant programs.

Do you have what it takes?

• Ability to work in a multiple discipline team in support of command and controls system design and integration.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with C++, Qt, Agile Development Process.
• US Citizen with current SECRET Clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Successful completion of background check.

• Experience with the design and development of control systems.
• Experience with Programable Logic Controllers.
