Alvarez & Marsal in Atlanta is seeking a Restructuring Senior Associate to join our team. You will work with experienced professionals to preserve value for high‑profile organizations, leading cash‑flow forecasting and bankruptcy‑support activities.

This role requires 6+ years in restructuring or related fields, with an MBA or CPA preferred, and a willingness to travel 100% of the time. You will develop strategic plans and mentor junior staff in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in corporate restructuring, investment or commercial banking, or consulting with a financial or accounting focus; 4+ years of direct restructuring experience.
• BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related analytical fields.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Professional certifications such as CTP, CIRA, CPA, CFA, or progress toward these certifications is preferred.
• Understanding of Chapter 11 proceedings.
• Advanced financial modeling experience, including building 13-week cash-flow forecasts and three-statement models with minimal oversight.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct liquidation analyses to evaluate feasibility of plans of reorganization.
• Collaborate with clients to create long‑term business plans that track and manage performance, working capital, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Implement cash conservation strategies and controls.
• Develop pre‑bankruptcy plans and assisting with bankruptcy case administration, including creditor communication and bankruptcy document preparation.
• Support marketing efforts by assisting with pitch preparation.
• Lead work streams within projects and coaching junior resources.
• Present analyses to a variety of audiences.

As a Restructuring & Turnaround Senior Associate, you will work alongside experts across diverse industries, driving value preservation and creation for high‑profile organizations.
