Job summary

Baker Tilly invites you to join our Development Advisory team as a Senior Associate, Capital Formation, focusing on renewable energy transactions. You will evaluate opportunities, structure deals, and drive capital deployment with sophisticated financial modeling and due diligence across solar, storage, and other energy tech.

You will collaborate with tax, legal, lenders, and sponsors to navigate regulatory changes while delivering clear Investment Committee materials and market analyses.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• 3 years professional experience required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in investment banking, PE, corporate dev, project finance, or consulting; energy exposure preferred.
• Experience building financial models, incl. 3-statement and tax equity models.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment opportunities in renewable energy infrastructure with financial modeling.
• Underwrite tax equity and other project finance transactions.
• Collaborate with developers, sponsors, legal, tax advisors, lenders to support transaction execution.
• Review project development assumptions, reports, and diligence materials to identify risks.
• Prepare Investment Committee Memoranda and marketing materials for capital deployment.
• Conduct market research on financing structures and regulatory developments.
