Job summary

Henry & Peters seeks a Senior Associate in its Longview office. You will own engagements, mentor staff, and deepen client relationships while progressing in your career. The firm serves Tax, Audit & Assurance, and CAS with offices in Tyler, Longview, and Frisco.

Ideal candidates have CPA eligibility, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and with teams. The role includes exposure to diverse client work and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• CPA license preferred or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor staff associates through review and feedback.
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with clients, managers, and engagement teams.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with firm standards.
• Lead tax engagements, prepare and review tax returns, and assist with planning.
• Lead audit engagements and review fieldwork, plans, and reports.
• Review CAS work on client accounting engagements, including payroll reporting.
