Job summary

Newsmax Media Inc. is seeking a seasoned television producer to manage live shots and guest segments, write scripts and teases, and pitch ideas for topical coverage.

You will help identify guests, create graphics, and verify facts while coordinating with editors to ensure all elements meet editorial guidelines. The role requires strong news judgment, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and a flexible schedule including prime time and overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of national or large market local TV news experience.
• Strong control room and breaking news experience.
• Excellent writing, producing and communication skills.
• Solid news judgment and knowledge of politics, history, geography and current events.
• Team-player attitude with ability to meet tight deadlines and rapid news shifts.
• Flexibility to work prime time and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with show producers to manage live shots and guest segments.
• Write scripts, voice overs and teases in a vibrant conversational style.
• Pitch story ideas and help identify guests and topics.
• Create production elements for scripts, including tape and graphics.
• Research stories, verify facts and organize video graphics and sound.
• Work in control room to support editorial changes and segment execution.
• Identify news, select video and sound bites, oversee editing, and conduct interviews.
• Monitor breaking news and communicate updates to the production team.
• Coordinate with reporters, editors, and production for air readiness and guidelines.
