Job summary

TEECOM is seeking an Associate Principal to lead mid-size multi-discipline projects, guiding teams from programming through closeout. You will mentor Designers and engineers, maintain disciplined design practices, and contribute to client relationships with clear communication and reliable follow-through.

You will strengthen TEECOM’s systems by refining templates, documenting decisions, and sharing insights to improve workflows and project predictability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in AEC or related professional services with demonstrated discipline-specific capability (ICT, Security, Physical Security).
• Experience leading discipline portions of mid- to large-size projects, supporting coordination, and providing guidance to Designers or engineers.
• Proven ability to deliver accurate, well-coordinated designs and make sound decisions within your discipline.
• Strong understanding of project delivery workflows, client expectations, documentation standards, and cross-disciplinary coordination requirements.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to documentation updates, standards refinement, or QA/QC workflows through GitHub Pull Requests or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design reviews that reinforce TEECOM standards and improve documentation clarity.
• Mentor Designers and engineers through coaching, reviews, and feedback to strengthen technical growth and documentation habits.
• Collaborate with Project Leads and Group Leads to maintain alignment on scope, sequencing, and coordination strategy.
• Contribute to pursuits by developing discipline scope assumptions and interview support as needed.
• Participate in design coordination meetings, clearly communicating impacts, decisions, risks, and next steps.
• Maintain clear documentation of decisions, assumptions, and client-specific nuances across GitHub and project tools.
