Job summary
GondolaBio is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate for the Portfolio Development team in Palo Alto. You will deeply review scientific progress of GondolaBio affiliates and evaluate investment opportunities across therapeutic areas, partnering with the Investment Committee and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Advanced technical degree (MD or PhD) required.
- Strong ability to express ideas concisely in writing and in presentations (PowerPoint).
- Experience across biotech, consulting, VC, or business development is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deeply evaluate therapeutic programs from genetics through development plan and trial design.
- Review affiliate progress at critical development stages to ensure scientific execution.
- Advocate for therapeutics by building scientific and business cases for investments.
- Interface with leading academics, patient groups, biotechs, and entrepreneurs.
- Lead internal discussions with management and the Investment Committee.
- Establish an investment strategy and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional experts to dive deeply into each project.
