Job summary

Senior Associate, Material Handling (Phoenix, AZ)
Role Summary

The Senior Associate, Material Handling is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, moving, and shipping materials to support manufacturing, service, and operational activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy, material availability, efficient material flow, and timely fulfillment of production and business requirements while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and cleanroom standards. The ideal candidate is highly proficient with ERP systems and capable of independently managing day-to-day warehouse operations.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Receive, inspect, store, and process incoming materials, parts, and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through ERP and warehouse management systems.
  • Perform inventory transactions and maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
  • Execute stock counts, cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Manage material movement activities including receiving, storing, transferring, picking, staging, kitting, issuing, and shipping materials.
  • Coordinate material fulfillment for jobs, work orders, and production requirements, ensuring materials are delivered to designated staging and production areas according to schedule.
  • Track incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and timely system updates.
  • Prepare materials, equipment, and documentation for domestic and international shipments.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory, receiving, shipping, and transaction discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, planning, logistics, warehouse, and production teams to ensure material availability and operational effectiveness.
  • Generate inventory and material movement reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control processes to minimize loss, damage, obsolescence, and inventory variances.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material flow.
  • Assist in training team members while promoting safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We Are Looking For
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or c andidates with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered if they possess exceptional ERP system expertise and a demonstrated ability to independently manage warehouse operations, inventory control processes, and material flow activities.
  • Proven experience in material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience receiving, storing, transferring, issuing, packing, and shipping materials in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience supporting cleanroom materials and adhering to contamination-control protocols preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP (preferred), or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and warehouse management systems.
  • Experience performing, supporting, or owning cycle count programs, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation processes.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control methodologies, supply chain principles, and warehouse best practices.
  • Ability to analyze inventory and operational data and recommend improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and attention-to-detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage daily warehouse operations.
Work Environment
  • Primarily based in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • May require operation of material handling equipment and movement of materials throughout the facility.
  • Standard business hours, with flexibility to w ork Saturday overtime during periods of increased demand.
