About The Team

Our Marketplace Strategy & Operations team is responsible for building, scaling and improving the way in which we provide Restaurant delivery. We build our restaurant selection, test 0 → 1 products to give merchants more opportunity to delight their consumers, and optimize ways to improve our marketplace to increase the return on investment our partners gain from partnering with DoorDash. This team focuses on all things Restaurants ranging from selection, to merchandising, to consumer strategy, to leveraging our logistics network in new ways, to so much more!

About The Role

We are hiring a Senior Associates to join the Restaurants Strategy & Operations team. You will work to improve how we partner strategically with our restaurants by helping improve Restaurants’ supply chain through innovative fulfillment models while also increasing order volume and improving quality. We operate in a hybrid model, so we spend some time in person and some time working remotely. This is an individual contributor position and you'll be reporting directly to aSenior Manager on our Strategy & Operations team.

  • Strategize. Bring new products & strategies to market, integrating net new value propositions into our restaurant ecosystem.
  • Operate. You will become an expert on how to run a sustainable marketplace business, and what it takes to create value for Merchants, Dashers and Consumers.

We’re Excited About You Because…

  • You have 2-4+ years of experience in a problem solving role - Consulting, Tech, Banking, Food & Beverage, etc.
  • You have a completed BA/BS degree in a quantitative field (engineering, mathematics, business, etc.)
  • You display strong financial acumen. You know your way around complex financial or operational models.
  • You have a strong history of data analysis. You have experience with pulling your own data via SQL and/or open to learning
  • You are a collaborator. You have experience with stakeholder management across diverse audiences, from front-line doers to senior executives.

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
