Job summary

Referment is seeking a senior associate for its management reporting team within Financial Operations. The role focuses on compensation, business economics, and strategic commercial questions, turning imperfect information into executive-ready analyses.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, frame complex problems, and present concise findings to influence decisions. The position emphasizes expanding analytical capability and adopting new technologies, including generative AI.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years in management-company finance, compensation consulting, or internal strategy within a large alternative asset manager.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; an advanced degree is useful but not essential.
• Strong commercial judgment and experience producing sound analysis from incomplete data.
• Exceptional executive communication skills and a record of influencing senior decision-makers.
• Experience leading initiatives involving generative AI, process improvement, automation, and technology adoption.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders on bespoke analysis relating to compensation, business economics, and strategic commercial questions.
• Frame ambiguous problems, structure rigorous analysis, and interpret results to support decisions.
• Present concise findings and new perspectives to senior audiences.
• Identify gaps in the team’s analytical approach and help expand its ability to address emerging needs.
• Lead initiatives involving generative AI, process improvement, automation, and technology adoption.
