Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Logistics Engineering Specialist at our Sterling, VA facility. You will support a growing product portfolio through asset management, obsolescence mitigation, inspection, QA, and training coordination.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IPTL and PHS&T leads on daily operations. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience or equivalent experience; TS/SCI with CI poly is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of related experience; or graduate degree with 0–2 years of related experience; or 6+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient PHS&T system to ensure timely material shipments with minimal errors.
• Interface daily with PHS&T Lead and IPTL to meet SMD PHS&T needs.
• Perform asset and equipment audits for customer and company property.
• Plan and report availability of packing materials to PHS&T Lead/IPTL.
• Process and track shipment of products to/from customer sites, depot, or OEMs.
• Monitor movement of supplies from stock to field support.
• Assist depot operations and maintain high attention to detail and communication.

Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Logistics Engineering Specialist to support our expanding product portfolio at our Sterling, VA facility. In this role, you'll provide critical program support across multiple areas including asset management and tracking, obsolescence mitigation strategies, component inspection and quality assurance, and training event coordination and support. Essential Functions:

• Support an efficient PHS&T system which introduces minimal organizational delay time or errors, and results in material shipments at the "right place at the right time", thus improving system availability and lowering overall life cycle cost
• Interface daily with PHS&T Lead and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to ensure all SMD PHS&T needs are being met
• Perform asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property as directed
• Identify, plan, and report the availability and usability of packing materials to PHS&T Lead and/or IPTL
• Process, track, and close-out the shipment of products to and from customer sites, the depot, and possibly OEMs
• Monitor and track the movement of supplies from the stock rooms to operational support in the field
• Support depot specific operations as directed
• Must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Assist in innovating the strategies for tracking program assets and spare parts to maximize efficiency
• Ability to lift 45 lbs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
• Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly required

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $76,500 - $141,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
