Job summary
Novo Holdings is seeking a Senior Associate for the Venture Investments team in its Boston office. You will evaluate preclinical and clinical biotechnology and medtech opportunities and help manage a growing private equity portfolio. A strong life-sciences background paired with financial fluency is essential.
The role requires a Ph.D. in life sciences or an M.D. with at least four years in investment or advisory work, plus comfort with industry databases and cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.D. with strong life sciences background.
- Minimum 4 years in consulting or investing related to healthcare.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
- Experience using industry databases (e.g., Citeline, PitchBook) for research.
Responsibilities
- Assess investment opportunities based on scientific validation and commercial potential.
- Perform primary due diligence including literature reviews and data synthesis.
- Prepare and present investment materials and supporting documentation.
- Monitor and assist with private investments and portfolio management.
- Attend scientific and broker conferences and collaborate with Novo Holdings teams.
