Job summary

Marx Okubo Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Associate MEP Engineer for our Atlanta (or Dallas) office with a hybrid work arrangement (2 days in office).

You will lead the design and evaluation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for diverse building projects, perform PCAs, energy audits, and cost estimations while mentoring teams. Ideal candidates will bring 15+ years of experience, PE licensure, and strong leadership in project management, plus familiarity with

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidates will possess a BSME, BSEE or BSAE w/mechanical or electrical specialty, PE, and 15+ years of experience in the engineering design and evaluation of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management successes are expected
  • HVAC and plumbing system expertise is required, along with a fundamental knowledge of electrical and fire protection systems.
  • Candidates will possess a working knowledge of national and TX state building codes and experience in facilities engineering, energy audits, commissioning and sustainability consulting.
  • Ability to integrate your passion for Sustainability with practical legal requirements to provide expert solutions to our clients.
  • LEED or CEM certificates are a plus
  • The ability to communicate in a professional manner, remain organized, and multitask are essential

We are seeking dynamic leaders with a proven track record in project management and MEP system design, ready to drive innovation in our diverse range of projects.

We are currently accepting applications for a Senior Associate MEP Engineer in either our Dallas or Atlanta office. This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements
  • Candidates should have the ability to:
  • Operate a computer (keyboarding) and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copier/scanner/printer
  • Use visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens
  • Move through construction and existing building sites over rough terrain
  • See and respond to dangerous situations
  • Respond quickly to sounds
  • Ascend and descend ladders and stairs
  • Move safely through confined spaces and narrow paths
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions or unconditioned areas
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time both in and out of state
