Job summary

ILLINOIS STATE BOARD OF INVESTMENT seeks an Associate General Counsel/Investment Compliance Officer in Chicago. You will support the General Counsel in legal and compliance matters, respond to FOIA requests, and assist in monitoring compliance of Board and staff under ISBI policies and Illinois law.

Responsibilities include preparing board materials and minutes, developing directives, and coordinating reporting on diversity initiatives and investment policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor required.
• At least two years of relevant legal experience preferred.
• Valid Illinois law license required.

Responsibilities

• Support General Counsel in managing ISBI's legal affairs and compliance.
• Respond to FOIA requests.
• Assist in monitoring compliance of Board and Staff per ISBI policies and Illinois law.
• Prepare Board/Committee meeting minutes and executive session notes.
• Develop and coordinate the Agency Directives Manual; ensure budget policy compliance.
• Provide policy guidance on diversity-related initiatives and reporting.
