Job summary

SCAN Group seeks an Associate General Counsel, Healthcare to serve as the primary legal advisor to its care delivery organizations. You will handle regulatory, contracting, governance, and strategic matters with a business‑minded approach in a fast‑paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top‑tier ABA‑accredited school, CA Bar (or RIHC eligibility), 8+ years in healthcare law, and a track record negotiating complex provider and payer agreements; strong drafting and negotiation

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active California State Bar membership, or RIHC eligibility.
Minimum 8 years of relevant healthcare law experience.
Experience advising healthcare providers and care delivery organizations.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and regulatory compliance skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary legal counsel to SCAN’s care delivery organizations.
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts (provider, payer, value‑based care).
Advise on federal and state healthcare laws and regulatory requirements.
Oversee outside counsel and manage legal spend.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support operations.
