Job summary

Huron Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Associate Microsoft Dynamics 365 Technical Consultant/Developer to design, build, test, deploy, and support Dynamics 365 F&SCM solutions. You will translate business requirements into technical components, including extensions, data migrations, reports, workflows, and AI-enabled features.

In this delivery leadership role, you will own defined technical work packages, guide junior team members, and present options and risks to leadership while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Typically 7–9 years of enterprise application development or technical consulting with Dynamics AX 2012 and/or Dynamics 365 F&SCM.
• Experience contributing to at least two full lifecycle ERP implementations, upgrades, rollouts, or major enhancement programs, with ownership of technical deliverables.
• Hands-on X++ development and working knowledge of Dynamics 365 extensibility, data entities, security, reporting, integrations, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Experience producing technical specifications, code, test evidence, deployment documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials in a structured delivery methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with occasional assistance, lead a small technical work package, and coach junior resources.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to collaborate with US and global teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Dynamics 365 development and extensibility design and develop X++ extensions, chain of command, event handlers, data entities, forms, reports, workflows.
• Apply extend-first principles and document design rationale and upgrade considerations.
• Develop medium-to-complex components, unit testing, peer reviews, remediation, and regression testing.
• Assess technical feasibility and recommend configuration, extension, Power Platform, integration, or Azure approaches.
• Conduct technical code and design walkthroughs with internal and client teams.
• Build and validate data migrations, integrations, SSRS/Power BI reports, and related interfaces.
• Build Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Dataverse components, and Copilot Studio solutions; implement AI-enabled features.
• Use Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control, pipelines, and deployment controls.
• Support cutover planning, production readiness, and hypercare activities.
• Prepare technical specifications, process flows, design docs, test plans, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Deliver client-facing demonstrations, design walkthroughs, and training.
