About Us
At Madden, we're not your typical marketing agency. We're a full-service destination marketing agency that blends tech-savvy know-how with creative flair to help destinations shine. Innovation? Check. Data-driven strategies? Double check. A passion for storytelling that brings destinations to life? Oh yeah, we've got that too.

We're constantly evolving to meet the needs of our tourism partners, driven by performance and aligned with their goals. With Madden's Agile approach, we flex and adapt to connect our clients with travelers, groups, and event planners, creating campaigns that don't just reach people—they inspire action.

We offer the whole shebang: full-agency services and omni-channel solutions. By combining research-backed insights, captivating storytelling, and strategically executed campaigns, we deliver results that move the needle (and then some).

About You

You are effective in communicating both internally and externally and are confident in representing Madden in the destination marketing and public relations industry. You're excited about joining a team who support each other and you are a confident manager in helping the team learn and grow. You are eager to contribute your talents in a collaborative effort to elevate our team. Most importantly, you stand ready to contribute and grow in a dynamic environment where every day brings new opportunities and challenges. Your best work will come when you inspire, empower, and enable your team to deliver strategic results.

About The Job

We're looking for a Senior Associate Director, PR (SAD) who can develop and maintain strong media relationships on behalf of our clients, lead client strategy, and assist the larger PR team in execution. The SAD will collaborate with a team to implement PR and media relations strategies aimed at reaching travelers and showcasing destinations across the United States.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Crafting compelling PR strategies that turn travel stories into headlines, generating curiosity and attention across media channels.
  • Building and nurturing media relationships—from top-tier journalists to niche travel bloggers—to ensure you're the first call when news breaks.
  • Leading award-winning PR campaigns that blend data and creativity, delivering media coverage and measurable community impact.
  • Collaborating across creative, media, and strategy teams to ensure campaign cohesion.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, breaking news, and cultural moments to keep Madden's PR ahead of the curve.
  • Overseeing crisis communications with professionalism and calmness, turning challenges into trust-building moments.
  • Measuring and reporting PR success using meaningful data to demonstrate value.
  • Mentoring and inspiring the PR team, setting high standards for creativity and accountability.
  • Ideating activations and media missions that generate buzz and turn communities into must-cover stories.
  • Building trusted client relationships through proactive counsel and attentive service.

Open to travel commitments up to 30%.

Additional Information

Interview Process

The process includes:

  1. Round 1: A chat with our Recruiter.
  2. Round 2: An interview with team members.
  3. Round 3: A discussion with Team Leads.
