Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a senior Patient Safety Scientist to act as a strategic partner to safety leadership. You will guide signal detection, risk management, and safety reporting across assets in development and on the market.

You will author safety sections in clinical and regulatory documents, support safety strategy in submissions, and mentor junior scientists while ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Scientific degree (BS/MS/PhD/PharmD/MD) or equivalent
• 6–8 years of pharmacovigilance/drug development experience
• Ability to mentor others
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with AI/automation to optimize workflows

Responsibilities

• Leads core signal detection activities across product life cycle and communicates safety evidence to influence decisions.
• Prepares safety sections for protocols, CSR, and labeling documents; represents patient safety in internal/external meetings.
• Drives regulatory safety submissions, responses to health authorities, and post-marketing safety strategies.
