CFSB is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Database Administrator (DBA). As a Senior Associate, Database Administrator (DBA), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the database infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of database management, optimization, and the ability to troubleshootand resolve complex database issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration
  • Create and manage database instances, clusters, and replicas
  • Perform routine databasemaintenance tasks, such as backups,restores, and updates
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identifyand resolve bottlenecks and issues
  • Optimize database queriesand indexing for improved performance
  • Security and Compliance
  • Implement and enforce security policies and access controls to safeguard sensitive data
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Backup and Recovery:
  • Develop and maintaindatabase backup and recovery strategies
  • Test and documentdisaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability in case of failures
  • High Availability and Scaling
  • Configure and managedatabase replication, failover, and clustering for high availability
  • Scale database resources to accommodate growing workloads
  • Performance Tuning
  • Identify and resolve performance issues by analyzing query execution plans and database statistics
  • Optimize database schema and configurations for improved efficiency
  • Documentation and Training:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members on database-related tasks and technologies
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
  • Investigate and resolvedatabase-related incidents and outages in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot application -related database problems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in SQL and databasequery optimization
  • Familiarity with cloud computingplatforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of database security,backup, and recoveryprocedures
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degreein computer science, information technology, or a relatedfield (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on SQL server, Postgres, and Snowflake with 6+ years of experience

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 K / year

"Base salary range does not include performance-based bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience."
