What You'll Do

The Senior Associate Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and testing data solutions using the enterprise framework. This role applies software delivery capabilities and seeks to learn higher levels of craftsmanship. Contributions include opinions on design decisions and active participation in agile ceremonies. The person manages and escalates risks and customer-impacting issues to management.

How You'll Do It

• Execute data integration solutions independently, recognize data patterns, and seek advice on approaches.
• Contribute to design decisions and understand tradeoffs.
• Develop skills in data warehouse tools, Cloud, agile, and related technologies.
• Apply knowledge of Data Integration, DW Design, Metadata, Data Security, and Data Quality.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and assist onboarding of new engineers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and defects.
• Identify and execute test scenarios, share results.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.

Qualifications You'll Need

The Basics

• Bachelor's in Computer Science
• 1+ years of Data Platform Administration / Engineering
• For internal applicants: proficiency at Advanced Beginner level on the Dreyfus scale.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

Primarily stationary work in an indoor office environment. Ability to operate office equipment, communicate verbally and in writing. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with AWS, EMR, Spark, CI/CD pipelines, and related technologies.
• Experience with databases, scripting languages, ETL/ELT tools, and data analysis.

Additional Details

Application deadline: Apr 20, 2025. Salary range: $73,500 - $124,300. Benefits include parental leave, PTO, 401(k), health plans, and more.
