Job summary

Amgen Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate in Coverage & Pricing Strategy to support pricing, reimbursement, and contracting decisions across the inflammation portfolio.

You will partner with Market Access, Value Marketing, Patient Access, Sales, and Finance to shape pricing actions and market access strategy, while maintaining dashboards and insights for leadership. The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, rigorous analysis, and clear communications in a dynamic U.S.

Qualifications

Senior Associate, Coverage & Pricing Strategy, Inflammation

What you will do

In this vital role you will be a key member of the U.S. Value & Access, Coverage and Pricing organization responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a plan of action for pricing, reimbursement, and contracting strategy to improve payer coverage within pricing goals. The Senior Associate (reporting to a Senior Manager) will help develop and implement coverage and pricing strategy, through quantitative and qualitative analysis, across the inflammation portfolio. In this dynamic environment, this role interacts cross functionally with Market Access, Value Marketing, Patient Access, Ecosystems & Insights, Sales, Brand Marketing, Government Affairs, Trade & Distribution, Business Unit Leadership, Finance, Accounting, and Legal. This role will provide a strong foundation in the U.S. healthcare market and is a good avenue to many future commercial healthcare roles.



  • Conduct pricing, reimbursement, and contracting analyses to support Avsola and portfolio strategy decisions

  • Manage Avsola coverage and pricing decisions, while coordinating with key stakeholders internally and externally

  • Support the rollout and maintenance of key contracting and pricing software platforms (e.g., Conga and Contracting IQ)

  • Track payer coverage and portfolio performance across the inflammation portfolio; develop and maintain dashboards to support understanding of the market landscape and coverage goals

  • Capture, analyze, and synthesize cross‑functional information to support scenario planning and business insights

  • Develop tools, communications, and materials across internal and external partners, including navigating the material approval process

  • Lead or support cross‑functional special projects aligned to business priorities

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with cross‑functional teams and collaborators by seeking consensus and providing ongoing support to address business needs

  • Routinely interact with senior leadership and cross‑functional committees or teams

Basic Qualifications


  • Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of in either sales, marketing, contracting and/or pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations

  • Associate’s degree and 6 years of in either sales, marketing, contracting and/or pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations

  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of in either sales, marketing, contracting and/or pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting pricing, contracting forecasting, or gross‑to‑net analyses

  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities with experience interpreting complex data and business trends

  • Familiarity with commercial and government pricing dynamics and payer contracting structures

  • Ability to work independently and achieve results across multiple competing priorities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presence across functions and leadership levels

  • Strong conceptual problem‑solving skills with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous business problems

  • Experience solving complex business problems and supporting analytics‑driven projects

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment

  • Ability to navigate complexity and synthesize information into actionable business insights

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities

  • Experience analyzing and drawing conclusions from multiple data sources

  • Adaptability within a fast‑paced and evolving healthcare environment

  • Interest in the evolving U.S. healthcare system and the interaction between government and healthcare stakeholders

Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
