Job summary

Evercore seeks an Experienced Associate for our Consumer Retail Team in New York, NY. You will work with senior bankers on multi-billion dollar transactions, leading analysts and coordinating across live deals.

The role emphasizes financial modeling, due diligence, and strategic advisory across sell-side, buy-side and capital-raising assignments. A strong background in corporate finance and valuation is essential.

Qualifications

• Candidates possess strong accounting, finance, valuation and business strategy understanding.
• 2+ years of relevant investment banking experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in teams and articulate ideas.

Responsibilities

• Work in a deal team on buy-side/sell-side M&A engagements and other advisory assignments.
• Manage analysts and assist senior bankers across different project scenarios.
• Maintain dialogue with clients, banks, law firms, and data rooms to keep deals on track.
• Oversee financial and valuation analyses including DCF, precedent transactions, comps, accretion/dilution, pro forma statements and LBOs.
• Conduct industry and market analysis to inform clients and senior bankers.
