The Senior Associate will support Partners and VPs, oversee engagements, and help drive growth through rigorous financial analysis, diligence, and client communication. The role emphasizes leadership and high accountability.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of public accounting and/or corporate finance experience.
• Previous audit experience is preferred.
• CPA license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver CFO Services and Accounting Services engagements through financial analysis, modeling, diligence support, and client-facing workstreams.
• Prepare accurate, well-structured client deliverables, analyses, and reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Directors and Vice Presidents to execute engagement plans, meet deadlines, and address client needs proactively.
• Assist in the development, documentation, and improvement of internal processes, procedures, and templates to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Continue to build technical, analytical, and client service skills while demonstrating ownership, attention to detail, and increasing independence.

CFOx is an advisory firm that specializes in CFO, Transaction, and Accounting Services in the middle-market. We have offices in Denver, Detroit, and Boston. We work with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, founder-owned businesses, investment banks, and investors nationwide.

Position Overview

Our CFO and Accounting Services group primarily serves middle-market private equity-backed companies and founder-owned businesses that need CFO and Accounting services to scale, gain visibility into their business, or/and prepare for a transaction.

CFOx is looking for a Senior Associate to work closely with the Vice Presidents to provide strategic financial insights, drive operational improvements, and support growth initiatives of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of private equity environments, strong accounting & financial acumen, and exceptional leadership skills.

Typical engagements include:

• Fractional or Interim CFO
• Post M&A transaction integrations and transitions
• Historical accounting clean-up
• Accounting processes, procedures, and systems implementation
• Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
• Accounting services (i.e.: month-end close, financial statement preparation, bill pay)
